Why?

For the past 3 years, Somerset Community Food have managed the Somerset Land & Food Project, which has brought together landowners & groups looking for land to grow food to feed our communities. After a packed few years of regional conferences, roadshows, comprehensive research, skillshares and more it is now time to celebrate our successes and share what has been learnt.

Join us to celebrate the Somerset Land & Food Project but most importantly to celebrate the real work taking place all over Somerset - the new allotment sites, the community gardens & projects, market gardens, mental health projects, home growers and more. Even if you are totally new to growing or community food, come along and be inspired.

The conference will also be the launch for Incredible Edible Somerset, the new umbrella network for home and community growers all over the county to celebrate growing and using local food. The summer conference is an opportunity to design a new food system for ourselves, together from the grassroots - from how we can skill up Somerset to support the growers of the future, to how we can make sure local food reaches everyone & how we can secure land for the future.

It promises to be an inspiring & enjoyable day, sowing the seeds for a sustainable food future for Somerset. Make sure you take part & spread the word!
